SO LONG, PEPSI

10:00 AM

I remember the first time we saw you at the pound - your little "eyeliner" eyes peeping out at us from behind the kennel, how Reid was instantly smitten with you and said "That's the one!, how Dad had a dog with the same name that was part Shepherd when he was a kid, and how we took you home on the spot. You were so nervous and excited....and soaked my shorts with drool on the ride home. I remember laughing at mom's reaction when we came home that day 11 years ago with a dog - "WHAT IS THAT AND WHY IS IT IN OUR HOUSE?!?!?". We all fell in love with you Pep, and you quickly earned your spot in the family. Perhaps a little too well....I am pretty sure you thought you were more human than dog. It just won't be the same without you. All the memories keep running through my mind. I miss you so much. We all miss you so much.

  4. Oh, I'm so sorry Kirsten! We lost our family dog a few years ago, and I still expect to see him running to the door and wagging his little tail whenever I walk into my parents house. :(
