STYLE ICON: VOGUE NIPPON'S VIVIANA VOLPICELLA

12:08 PM

I have had a long running style crush on Viviana Volpicella. This Italian stunner, who is currently the assistant to the eclectic Anna Dello Russo at Vogue Nippon, isn't afraid of color. I really commend her for that - especially now that the dark and moody "rock glam" trend is being worn by every single fashionista around the globe. Not to say that is a bad thing - but Viviana's style is a welcome and refreshing change of pace.
I mean really, how many people can pull off bright blue or hot pink pants and then make you say "Where can I get a pair of those?! Sign me up!". She demonstrates her sartorial savviness with class, wit and humor - fashion can be smart, fun and expressive (and you can still smile while looking fierce...please take note, Posh).
Whether she is wearing crisp trousers and a billowy button-up or going casual in jeans and a blazer, Viviana looks cool and perfectly put together. I am so on board with anything this lady wears....just the inspiration I need to inject my mostly neutral wardrobe with clean shapes in punchy spring/summer colors.
