Happy New Year's Eve, darlings! With 2010 come and gone, what were some of your most favorite memories? What is your New Year's resolution? I am (with 99% of people) pledging to get in shape this coming year.....aghhh, I hate working out so much but alas I need to get in the habit before I become as big as the Good Year blimp. Siiigh....I'm going to need each of you to hold me to it because ohhh booyyy do I loathe the gym. Anyways, I hope you all have a fantastic time celebrating and getting that smooch at the stroke of midnight...have fun, be safe, and see you in 2011!
Watched this episode of the Barefoot Contessa a day or two ago with my nearly 6 year old niece, and had such a blast listening to her interject her comments. From declaring a need for "smell-o-vision and "taste-o-vision,"we were both watering at the chomps wishing we could take a bite out of each of the simple but delicious foods Ina so easily whips up. That steak sandwich looks like the bomb.com (90s throwback...WOAH!) and caprese salad is literally one of my most favorite foods ever. The meringues especially caught little E's eye, of course after the initial shock of "ROASTED BERRIES?!?!?!?!" wore off. Haha, so cute. That will def be one to bake up when they come visit next! I am filing all of Ina's recipes from this episode in my virtual recipe box. And really, who doesn't love Ina Garten? She's just awesome.
I served you some piping hot accessories earlier, and now I have found the perfect set to serve up some hot cocoa, coffee, and tea to nurse the hangover you will inevitably have on Jan 1, 2011. One of my fave things in the world are stripes....and this Paul Smith china collection has the perfect balance. Have fun sipping your champers tomorrow night...almost 2011, dear readers!
